At Chocolate Squirrel, our goal is to distribute the bars and creations of fine chocolate makers. It is our aim to keep the chocolate makers in control of all aspects of their chocolate from bean to customer. We have formed close relationships with all our makers and share common goals: a deep passion for fine chocolate combined with ethical practices.

Ara Chocolat

Andrés and Sabrina Zakhour
France

Ara Chocolat, founded by a Venezuelan couple, Andrés and Sabrina Zakhour, is a small batch bean-to-bar chocolate company in Paris. They make chocolate from beans Andrés, carefully sources and buys from small cacao growers and cooperatives in Latin America. They devote most of their time searching for heirloom and unique varieties.

Aruntam Sensory Chocolate

Pia Rivera founded Aruntam Chocolate in 2019. She is the heart of this company. She follows each step through the supply chain, from sourcing the raw materials and cacao beans through the entire processing. She creates all recipes and products in the organic certified laboratory in San Giuliano Milanese. Aruntam takes great care to preserve the natural flavors of their ingredients. They select only best cacao beans creating chocolate that is minimally processed to capture its true essence. This bean to bar company has won numerous international awards.

Karuna Chocolate

Armin Untersteiner and Katya Waldboth

Armin Untersteiner and his wife Katya Waldboth live in South Tyrol a German-speaking region in Northern Italy. When they founded Karuna Chocolate in 2018 they were the first in the region to produce organic bean-to-bar chocolate.

Paco is the master chocolatier while his Colombian born wife Juana brings her designer background to all that accents of his creations. “Juana’s creative mind brings that magical touch elevating each chocolate to the pinnacle of excellence.”

Guido Castagna and his team’s passion, craftsmanship and drive for the finest ingredients have earned them multiple international awards. Located in the Piedmont region of Italy on the outskirts of Turin, the finest hazelnuts in the world grow near his shop: PGI Piedmont hazelnuts.

Mike & Becky like to keep things simple: organic cacao beans, organic beet sugar and a tad of organic cacao butter. All made in their 100% green energy and transparent workshop. They chose cacao beans from 7 plantations, and using these premium beans they developed 3 collections of chocolate bars: Classics, Inclusions and Specials.

In addition, each chocolate maker, we represent possesses a warmth and kindness that was the inspiration for this project. It is these commonalities that unite us and were the catalyst in creating the Chocolate Squirrel family.

We proudly provide retailers with ethically produced, bean to bar, fine chocolate from makers around the world. Each bar has been carefully selected based on the above criteria along with flavor and quality. As versed professional chocolate tasters, we can guide retailers with bar selection best suited for their clientele.
